Dirtfoot - a Dose of Gypsy Punk Country Grumble boogie. Dirtfoot's 4th Record, Coming Up for Air, was a crowd funded project that allowed Dirtfoot to collaborate with Producer Brady Blade. Blade Studios was the perfect setting for this April 2013 event. With engineer Chris Bell (Erykah Badu, The Eagles) behind the helm, it was just a matter of good vibes and the sessions could not fail. And as luck may have it, good vibes were all around. Then Brady, reached out to friends Rebirth Brass band and Papa Mali showed up one day and the album got even better. Then with only one song left to complete, it was an amazing fiddle from Tim Carbone that did the trick. The recording was complete, a true capture of Dirtfoot's heavier thicker sound, brought about by the addition of electric guitar, electric bass and the heavier hands of new drummer Derek Russell. Then off to mastering where Gavin Lurssen (Tom Waits, T Bone Burnett) truly adds the final warmth that make the album complete.
