The album was recorded in the Old Academy Music Hall in Stockholm on a Steinway Grand Piano. Students from the Music Academy of Stockholm were playing in the string quartet on five tracks plus two more musicians playing the guitar and oboe on two tracks. The pieces have been composed during 1992-1995 and the composer has been inspired by all kinds of experiences from film, other artists and meetings with interesting people. The dominant source of inspiration is though my grand piano with its sound and sudden and unexpected changes of accords with following harmonies. It all boils down to improvisation, which on a daily basis build a pattern and finally a composition. It is all meant to create a room of piece and calm atmosphere to the listener. I hope that the music will transform into creative thinking, good ideas and joy.
