In 1980 these live performances by Baird Hersey were recorded directly onto 1/4-inch stereo two-track tape. Although enhanced by studio techniques, these solo pieces were all recorded and mixed in realtime. No overdubbing was used, with the exception of a tape loop on "The Nile." On “The Minotaur” Baird played the guitar with his left hand and the accompanying bass part on synthesizer with his right.
