Tom Pick wrote the following: "Dan Willis grew up in Virginia along with the likes of Patsy Cline and Ricky Van Shelton. Went to see Merle Haggard in Boston where he went to college. Later ran into him at the mall in Hendersonville, TN. While just killing time waiting for the ladies, he and Merle struck up a conversation which of course turned to the music business. In 1973 he met Harrison Tyner who became one his best friends and wrote many great songs together. Harrison worked years near Elvis, and loved the sound of Dan's voice. Time after time they would spend countless hours honing their skills as song writers. Dan also played some of the Honky Tonks in Nashville including the Western Room, Jackson Hall, and a few others. On this album you will experience some of the Elvis style songs. This group of songs will take you down the road all the way to memory lane. 'Spanish Eyes' will carry you from border to border. The 'Bouquet' is a double meaning song. It could be for someone who has lost love, or a daughter who has just taken her vows in marriage on her day. It may be the perfect wedding song. 'Just In Time' an upbeat ballad sure to be a love saving song. 'Semi-Love' is going to raise the speed limit right into love. 'One More Tequila' makes you want to play it over and over again. 'Lonesome Again' will drive you into those lonely nights. 'I Told You So' - you're not gonna hear that from me. 'If I Was In His Shoes' - now who hasn't said that a time or two. I'm a lucky man because there'll never be 'Another You.' 'I Want To Fall In Love' all over again. 'Time Slips Away' but if I am coming home to you the miles seem to get shorter. 'You Walk By' just at the right time. 'If I Had Wings' brings you down to earth in a heartbeat with its peppy rhythm. After listening to this album, I am sure you will understand why I am so proud to be a part of it."
