The title song for Find A Way was inspired by a statement my Dad said to me many many times. "If you want something bad enough, and are willing to put in the blood, sweat, tears and toil, you can always FIND A WAY". I've used that advice daily to help me overcome many obstacles and challenges. Dad was an amazing man, a fugitive from the law of averages. He overcame more than I could ever know to influence the lives of so many people. I am very proud of him and proud to be called his son. The inspiration for my music comes from many places. Events that occur to me, my family, my friends, and sometimes to people I have never met. I find it interesting to let my imagination go regarding these events and see where it takes me. Hence the statement, "If you hear a song that sounds like it was written about you, it might have been". As a pure lyrics first writer, I am a bit of a storyteller. The story and lyrics tell me what the rest of the song is supposed to become. This project really is quite diverse both lyrically and musically. I really enjoy the freedom to create this way, and many times am quite surprised how the songs turn out. As a huge Dan Fogelberg fan, his music has met me at places in my life many times. I am honored to record three of my favorite Dan songs on this CD. Thanks Dan for the music. It will live forever. "Let It Shine" We also recorded a John Denver song on this project. I played "My Sweet Lady" at a school event many years ago, but yet it is still one of my most requested songs. Following up on a promise years ago that I would record it someday, the promise has now come to fruition. I recorded My Sweet Lady live in the studio to try and revisit the performance from back in the day. I hope you enjoy Find A Way as much as we did making it. Bill
