The greatest band in all the underworld, Jason and the Kruegers, take you on a musical journey through time as they follow antihero, Ashley James Williams, and his never ending battle against the Deadites. The horror punk track, "All My Friends Got Possessed", begins our story as Ash and his friends attempt to enjoy a vacation at a remote cabin. One by one, the entourage become possessed by evil spirits, forcing Ash to spend the night repelling vicious attacks. “You Were Not Yourself” enthralls listeners as we find Ash reminiscing about his loving girlfriend, Linda, who he was forced to decapitate with a shovel during a evening of violent madness. Jason and the Kruegers continue the epic tale with “Good. Bad. I’m the Guy with the Gun” where we find Ash locked in cosmic struggle with the Deadites after being sucked through a portal and thrusted into the dark ages. Striking a bargain with the king, Ash agrees to defend the castle from an army of Deadites who are fronted by none other than his very own demonic doppelgänger. “Damnation Getaway (I Can Smell Your Filthy Soul)” brings the album to a soothing temperament with a comedic “remake” of their own to pay tribute to the newly reimagined Evil Dead film. Finally, Jason and the Kruegers conclude their sonic saga with “Shoot First. Think Never.”, celebrating Ash’s victory over Eligos in the television series, Ash versus the Evil Dead.
