“Honesty always attracts a crowd,” and it’s proven to be a potent tool for North Carolina native Casey Clark. A firm believer in the power of a well crafted tune Clark’s work both as a songwriter and relentless road dog have won him respect from several of Nashville’s hottest hitmakers. August 2016 will mark the release of Clark’s most recent effort. A 5 song EP with Grammy award winning engineer Matt Ross Spang (Jason Isbell, Drive By Truckers, Margo Price) at the helm. From rusty rockin love song “The Sting” to melodic floating anthem “Invincible;” Clark continues to rely on the power of a bulletproof song and time tested musical influences. Think Eric Church had a baby with Ryan Adams who loved to tell a good story! “Its a beautiful thing that happens when you focus on developing your skills as a musician and honing your craft as a songwriter before you make a run at the big leagues.” Clark comments about his background cutting teeth at some of the south’s murkiest watering holes. “When I met my producers Jay Tooke and Craig Wilson at Across the River Productions I had seen enough of life, love, and loss to write a record I knew was going to change things.” With small town country boy values and a love of travel and adventure Clark has plenty of inspiration to draw from. “Until you work a manual labor job forty plus hours a week in a small town and know the sense of pride it instills, you haven’t fully experienced country music.” Clark has even spent time in rural sections of the Hawaiian islands touring and connecting with local residents proving that country is indeed, country wide. “Music is a canvas for me. I’m a regular guy that likes to work hard, make friends, and find meaning in everyday life. I can’t wait for you guys to hear what that sounds like.”
