Mista Roe is a Shreveport, Louisiana native. Locals there refer to him as the Rnb King Of Shreveport. Ask around and you'll soon discover that he's a lover of people and a lover of the city that he calls home. He's got unquestionable vocal ability and he's a great performer, sort of a "Diamond In The Rough" if you will, considering the fact that only one notable R&B act has ever come out of Shreveport. Early on, Mista Roe discovered he had a passion for music. He comes from a very musically inclined family. His grandmother sang as the lead in her church choir for many years, and his Uncle belonged to Gospel Quartet (Tj & Trinity) based in Alexandria, LA. He remembers frequently hearing the velvet voice from his mom, "She would walk around singing all the time, My mom had a beautiful voice; She still does", he says. He has an aunt that plays the keys as well. Those influences eventually led to the desire for him to pursue a career in music. Mista Roe released a mixtape that allegedly sold over 20,000 units underground, and his first album "Talladega Muziq" raised a few eyebrows as well. This latest studio project however (entitled The Rnb King Of Shreveport) is his best music to date. It's sure to reel you in. It seems that he kept the listener in mind. He made doubly sure that he took his time to deliver content that was relate-able. "It's not just any ole album", he says. "I put my heart into this one". The Rnb King Of Shreveport is the perfect collection of songs for the avid R&B seeker... The ones that fell in love with the essence of R&B music. The R Kelly, Dave Hollister, Jagged Edge, H-Town kind of R&B. That 90's feel. It's got a slight blend of the new school, but this is one that was very well put together.
