简介
Polish born mezzo soprano Eugenia Zareska was one of the outstanding interpreters of art song in the 20th century. Having studied with nonone else then famous Polish baritione Adamo Didur and legendary Vienna soprano Anna Bahr-Mildenburg (of Gustav Mahler era fame), she received high acclamation whereever she appeared. Her warm and rich mezzo voice and her overwhelming empathy in really "interpreting" the lyrics of her songs produced what critics often literarily called "innig" singing (which means focused or concentrated on). The 22 tracks on this album have never been reased in digital form before and will be new to lovers of art song. Eugenia Zareska - one of the leading artists of her time with songs by Schubert, Brahms and Wolf. A "Must Hear!"
