“When I Realized” is a product from the collaboration of the 1+1=U Program and Soulboyee Records. 1+1=U, Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization that targets middle and high school students who struggle with behavioral disorders in and out of the classroom. Our young women, who we call U Girls and our young men, who we call U Guys, participate in various activities geared towards boosting academic and personal goals. Robert D. Norris, President of Soulboyee Records, works with the 1+1 Music Group, allowing these inner-city youth an opportunity to experience song writing and music production. This experience has inspired, encouraged and motivated many of these young people to pursue their passion of music and has presented them with an alternative to some of the other activities they found themselves involved with in the streets.
