Phil Robinson is a singer, songwriter and instrumentalist, currently residing in Belfast, Northern Ireland with his wife and two children, but is originally from Barbados. Phil left Barbados to pursue further education and a career in software engineering, but always kept his passion for music alive. This passion was nurtured from a young age, growing up in Church, where his father was a minister and choir director and his mother sang and hummed hymns at home while she worked. It was here that Phil started to play the piano and compose for worship, Sunday school and encouragement within the church. Later he was a singer, songwriter and arranger for the Ask God Acappella group, having major involvement in the release of the album “All for Christ” back in 1998. Since then Phil has come into contact with various cultures through life in the UK, Germany and travels throughout Europe, which have brought many new friendships but inspired a fresh sound and motivation for writing. All of his songs are reflections of love, reconciliation and hope for families and communities. He hopes that his songs will be catalysts for healing, comfort and encouragement, especially in places troubled by their past and worried about their future.
