简介
Moname writes and produces her songs because she believes that music is a powerful avenue to heal; uplift and inspire. She believes that what makes us feel drawn to music is that our whole being is music; our mind and body, the nature in which we live, the nature that made us and all that is around us is music. Moname is interested in the mystery of vibrations and why we are attracted to certain harmonious groupings and rhythms. Her songs reflect that we all connect through life events; birth; death; love; hate; debt; prosperity; confusion; war, peace… As a young girl, her music tastes were predominantly influenced by her father’s interest in jazz and her mother’s beautiful operatic voice; a childhood home constantly filled with eclectic music. When she was in the third grade, her father brought home a Pearl red sparkle drum set that he purchased from a First Avenue Seattle pawnshop. His thought was that her brothers would certainly be interested in playing. However, Moname quickly taught herself to rock out. She was the first “girl” drummer to be accepted into the all-male high-school jazz band. Today, when she is not creating and producing her own songs, she is drumming and singing in local bands. She also plays keyboard and guitar. Moname’s songs are quirky and thought provoking. Her lyrics may cause you to guffaw, roll your eyes, or shed a tear or two. Her rhythms will surely cause you to want to clap or tap your feet. “I wrote ‘Work’in Mama’ as a tribute to all of the hard-working men and women who have devoted their lives to the happiness of others and sometimes need a little reminder of why they have chosen to give so much. Hope you enjoy! Sincerely, Moname
