GRAMMY NOMINATED Produced by Nashville guitarist Charlie Kelley, the CD features 15 songs, including a duet with Ray Benson of Asleep At The Wheel, who sang and played guitar on an original tune called "Polka Till The Cows Come Home". Also on the CD are the Carol Lee Singers of The Grand Ole Opry, who back LynnMarie on a remake of the jazz hit "Happy Feet." "This record has a great mix of songs on it, and I believe there is something for everyone", said LynnMarie. "The die hard polka fans are going to love our versions of "No Beer Today" and the Slovenian traditional waltz, "Glas Harmonike." However, we've also continued to push the envelope of traditional polka by including three rocking' European style tracks." Producer Charlie Kelley says "I feel like this is probably the best record since The Polka Record. The year and a half of time invested has allowed us to include special guests and given us time to develop songs using only acoustic instruments. After our recent trip to Slovenia, we were also able to create three tracks that are heavily influenced by the current direction of polka music in Europe." LynnMarie is the first and only female to win three Grammy nominations for "Best Polka Album" for her recordings, Squeeze Box, The Polka Record, and LynnMarie & The Boxhounds, all on Squeeze Records. "We are continuing our quest to take polka to the non-polka crowd" said Squeeze Records owner Jim Rink. "And we are excited and confident that this project will continue to bring new fans to the genre.
