About this Album - Dawasa "Dawasa" translates to "Day" in the Sri Lankan language of Singhalese. This album is the journey of just one day (This Day) in the life of a person as they travel in an unfamiliar land. From Midnight when the day starts until one minute before the next day begins it is the impression and thoughts of 24 hours. The recording includes Ambient and natural environmental sounds including those recorded in Sri Lanka. Produced and Recorded in Melbourne Australia by: Damian Tangram -The Good Omen About Damian Tangram 'Damian Tangram' aka ‘The Good Omen’ creates Live and Recorded Electronica that is ambient, rhythmic with distinctive melodies. Performance encompasses the feel of hardware: with a combination of analogue monophonic synthesizers, digital multi-timbered sound modules, sequencers and FX units with real time control. Strange emanations, improvisations and multi-layered sequences means that every performance is unique experience. 'The Good Omen' has completed the sound track for a Movie called Sawamika (Having an Owner). Other projects include the ‘Journey of Hope’ Tsunami Benefit Concert which was performed at the Melbourne Town Hall before an audience of 2000. He composed new pieces for the Ballet and Re-Sound verses Clan Analogue. Damian is currently working on a sound track for a film. Influences come from diverse background such: Jean M Jarre, Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream, Kitaro, Klaus Schultze and also Asian (particularly Sri Lankan) musical styles.
