Lamont J. was born and raised on Chicago’s west side (known as the best side). This is where it all began. From being gifted at a young age and listening to his older brothers harmonize the Motown Sound, soon Lamont came into his own by duplicating what he heard on the radio vocally and playing organ, drums and guitar. By having a love for all types of music, Lamont’s creativity began to open wide. Now with a mixture of rhythm & blues, pop, rock, jazz, classical, country and top it off with a sweet gospel flavoring, Lamont is a walking time bomb exploding on every song that he produces. He uses his talents to spread the gospel in a very unique way. By being a self taught musician and engineer has allowed Lamont to experience things some of us only dream about. Formally president of “Headband Records”, Lamont is now a worship leader, teacher, minister of the gospel and heads up his new label “Christian Artist Music Ltd” as C.E.O. Lamont has performed at a number of events including “The World’s Largest Office Party”, “Music Vision”, “Radio Belize”, “Inner City Showcase” and “Singsation” just to name a few. He now keeps busy by writing, producing, singing, praising and making various appearances all over the world. What next?....there is no limit! The gospel must go forth in season and out of season. Lamont’s current CD “The Whole Armor Of GOD” was cooked up in his personal home studio named “CAM” and mastered at “ZEM” studios where he could add all the right ingredients at just the right time to get just the right flavor.
