简介
The Rock 'n' Roll Dreams of Duncan Christopher is the quirky and infectiously fun soundtrack to the film of the same name. This is an Okie movie through and through. The film was shot entirely in Oklahoma, the tale takes place in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and all the bands on the soundtrack are from Oklahoma. The music consists of tracks from : Colourmusic, Sherree Chamberlain, Ryan Lindsey, Ithica, Cheyenne, Johnny Polygon, Mason Remel, and Vandevander. It also includes some original film score segments, and . . . 2 original tracks from ( the fictitious, but amazing ) King Arthur & The Legends; and lastly, a live karaoke track by Duncan Christopher. (more on that later) We've selected a few of the tracks we're really fond of in the player, though really, any 3 tracks from this would work just as well. The film has been to oodles of festivals, won oodles of awards, and comes into its official international release on 5/15 - via Gravitas Distribution, a division of Warner Bros. The soundtrack will follow right behind with its release on 5/22. About the film : Genre = Awkward Comedy Duncan Christopher is an ordinary guy who grew up the wealthy son of a suicidal rock star. He's just what a young man ought to be : mild-mannered, awkward, naive, and whole-heartedly aimless. He feels destined to follow in his late father's footsteps of rock greatness. However, like all of us, Duncan has an obstacle : he's not that good. Duncan makes a journey (37 minutes away), with his manager (cousin Charlie), to the rock ‘n’ roll mecca (Tulsa, OK), to pursue his dream. Charlie lands him a big gig - it's a city-wide competition (karaoke) where the winner gets to meet with a Chinese record label in Nashville. After braving numerous competitors, Duncan finally comes face-to-face with the pretentious local karaoke legend, Simply Irresistible. At this crucial showdown, Duncan discovers that while he may not be that good, he's also not that bad.
