It includes 4 studio tracks with Logan on guitar. There are 8 tracks, 3 of which were recorded live at E&5, (Easy & The Fifth) and 1 track at The Harris Institute capturing the essence of Logan’s creative intensity on piano. The Truth Is Out There as Logan plays piano on 4 tracks. “The Year After” had been slated for a studio version but after constant delays and listening to this CD a few times, I'm not convinced a studio recording would make "The Year After" it any better! The 3 guitar original tracks, “Intensity” “Just Now Barack’O” and “CodeNameTopSecret”, recorded at John Mcleod’s studio in the beaches features Bob McLaren (drums), Brendan Davis (bass), and Dave Restivo on piano with Logan on guitar. A recording session lasting maybe 90 minutes with one take for each track once Logan laid out the concepts. Again, spiritual aggressive, melodic contact was made, in conversation with weapons of mass production. “Intensity,” the last track is slick, filled with melodic musical conversation which always accompany Logan's Swing, Bee-bop, Afro-Cuban concepts. While his original compositions are generally straight forward/ mainstream, they are superbly rich with distinctiveness which enhances Logan’s interrogative style of play. Listeners are treated to the essence of jazz bottom line. One certainty can be counted on; “Boredom” doesn’t stand a ghost of a chance, no matter what Logan’s weapon of mass production is. Few Toronto band leaders nowadays produce the level of intensity Logan’s units deliver. “Classified Leaks” is one the first CD’s to be release by Logan on independent COVERTJAZZCONCEPTS label as the first installment of some of Terry Logan's snapping, popping jazz concepts that's guarantees a smile on your face.
