Jason & Layla are a brother-sister music duo for young audiences, performing acoustic indie rock with a New Orleans spirit and family-raised harmonies. Jason Rhein lives in New Orleans and has spent the last several years producing music and performing with the Imagination Movers and Rotary Downs. He has played music since he was 14 years old when his dad gave him his first guitar (the same one pictured in the video). But it wasn't until his niece Natalie was born that he became inspired to write his first song for kids. Since then, working with the Movers and the birth of his own son Liam have inspired him to write more. Layla Ellison is Jason's sister - don't be fooled by the different last name:). She lives in New York City, where she graduated from the American Music & Dramatic Academy and has worked as a professional dancer and performer for many years. Both Jason and Layla have been making music for a long time in their own careers, but they finally realized there was something magical about singing harmonies with your own family. That realization led to the creation of Jason & Layla.
