Vito Pizzo has delivered a sound known to jazz historians as swing for the past 50 years.His career has included time on the road with the likes of Tony Pastor,Chubby Jackson and Tex Beneke.He worked in Las Vegas for 30 years and played in excess of 15,000 shows in the towns heyday.He is now playing in the Palm Springs area where he ha resided since 1991.This is his second album.The first was recorded in Chicago in 1958 for the Argo label under the name of Vito Price which he used Professionaly at tht time.The album is still available after having been re released several times most recently by a Japaneese company,Universal and is entitled Swinging The Loop.During the Chicago period Vito also worked as a studio musician at WGN.He is also listed in Leonard Feathers Encyclopedia of jazz under the name Vito Price.
