简介
After Outspoken, Pt. 1, Travis Heidelman completes his album with a slightly different approach. While the first album focused on the philosophical approach to his identity, emerging from a place of deep introspection and philosophical awakening, part two takes the personal route. Travis wrote part two in a time of constant change, written towards the end of the college application process and produced it in the summer in which he prepared to move away from California for the first time in his life. Substituting philosophy for story, Heidelman tells of the final battle of his childhood heroes in 'Songs of my Childhood', of his outlook on the future in a chaotic world in 'The Optimist', and the challenges posed to his generation in 'Cold War Kids'. He says that "the sunsets on the album covers are extremely intentional. They represent change and while change can be terrifying, it's a natural part of life. Every day ends, but the day begins again, and those beginnings and endings are often the most incredible things to see. Change has the potential to be beautiful."
