Born on July 31, 1966, in the small town of Hawkesbury, Ontario. Marc was the youngest of 4 children. He started his musical journey by taking singing lesson at the age of 10. At 12, he started guitar lessons. After high school, his intention was to pursue a career in music, so he enrolled at Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario in their music program. But instead, he enrolled in the Armed Forces which brought him to Cape Breton in 1988. He fell in love with the place and also with his wife. In 1994, he and his family decided to make Sydney their permanent home. Never to lose his passion of music, in 2012, he started to write his own songs which lead to his first CD " Remember When". The CD was produced by J.P. Cormier. Life, attitude and presence illustrate the heartfelt songs of Marc Lacelles’ debut album “Remember When”. With a touch of Celtic, Bluegrass , Country and Contemporary added to his Modern Folk songs, Marc expresses feelings related to everyone including family, friends and the world. An active stage presence and crowd involvement best describe this Cape Breton songwriter.
