简介
It all happens at weddings… On a very hot day on the summer of 2009 our friend Elari was marrying his fiancée Louise in Hageri church in the Estonian countryside just outside the capitol, Tallinn. The day was as beautiful as the bride. Daniel and I met on the reception after the wedding ceremony. Three years had passed since Crux and Reverend B recorded the album Everything under the Sun together and toured Estonia and Norway. Maybe it was the heat of the moment, maybe it was the Estonian juice or just the merry atmosphere – the point is that we found it was due time to make music again. Then nothing much happened for a year, until we met the next summer at another wedding in the same church – the wedding of our friends Kristiina and Ranno. Once again a very beautiful bride and a merry atmosphere, and this time we got started. A few days later we made the first rough recordings of a pile of songs in Daniel’s home. Another pile of songs later, and after a million Skype-minutes, and some beautiful days of recording at EstVox studios in Tallinn, we are waiting for the next wedding. Then we’ll sing Rise my love. But that’s another story, a parable waiting to be told. Daniel and Bård(Reverend B) Practicing baptism – an epilogue In a somewhat strange way this album – Practicing baptism – is also a sort of independent epilogue to my dissertation “Practicing baptism”. What I am trying to say is that the album and the music video is a poetic commentary, which in its own way unfold some of the research and findings in the dissertation. Having said this, I think the album and the dissertation should be enjoyed separately – if a dissertation can be enjoyed at all. Bård (Reverend B)
