简介
I started DJing (mostly house music) when I was 15. When I first begun producing music a few years later (using Cubase and soon after Reason), I originally intended to make music to drop into my sets. However, the more I learned about playing the keyboard, the more I learned about music itself, I quickly realized I had a much greater interest in other styles. My first inspiration came in the form of software when I first tried Ableton Live (then version 4.x). For the first time, the software didn't seem to get in the way of my ideas; it was actually helping me realize those ideas faster then ever. This album was produced with Live version 8; and with version 9 on the way, I look forward to many new twists and turns in my creative process. The second inspiration comes in the form of collaboration. New forms of musical expression can be found when we work with others; and every track on here owes its very essence to that collaboration. Featured on all but one of the tracks, Avaelin is a talented keyboard player (and musician in general). His ambient, laid back style is poured all over this album. The only track he does not appear on is heavily influenced by his style. Another featured guest is Tony Tucci; (appearing on "Blue in Grey" and "Headphone House") Tony brings a blues approach to the festivities. When combined with Avaelin's keys and my beats, I believe its a winning combination. One that I hope to record again soon and I hope you enjoy.
