简介
Derek Conrad Minigan Jr. (born December 24, 1993), better known by his stage name RedHead, is a rapper and entrepreneur from Hopewell, VA. He started pursing music as a young teen, after being inspired by his local rap peers and also drawing inspiration from industry artists such as: Fabolous, Trey Songz, J Cole, and Meek Mill. RedHead’s sound can be described as a mix between Hip Hop and R&B and he perfectly balances the two depending on the mood of the track. In an article written in RVA Magazine, the author described RedHead as “very versatile and less traditional in his approach to reaching his audience.” Even though his music career started in Virginia, his career really took off after moving to Tacoma, WA as a result of joining the military. RedHead is currently putting the finishing touches on his 4th mixtape titled “Tru Waves”. He is ecstatic about this project because it displays a new sound and skillset that he has perfected over the past few years. Additionally, he is displaying an extreme amount of versatility, through his use of countless melodies and clever wordplay and flows over various subject matters. While he presents a new sound on “Tru Waves”, he still remains true to his core sound that his day one fans have grown to love. RedHead still delivers passionate verses while utilizing introspective and substantive lyrics based on his life experiences. The mixtape is expected to be released during the summer of 2017 through his record label Tru Million Entertainment. Even though RedHead’s music career started in Virginia, his career really took off after moving to Tacoma, WA as a result of joining the military.
