Gipsy Moon is a five-piece folk band based in the solititude of the Rocky Mountains of Nederland Colorado. Mixing origional tunes with old world traditional songs, they provide a spetcrum of music ranging from folk melodys, to jazz inprov, retro slavic moods, to gipsy rhythms. Gipsy Moon is Mackenzie Page (vox, tenor banjo, guitar), Silas Herman (mandolin, octave mandolin), Matt Cantor (bass, harmony vox), Andrew Connley (cello), Omar Al’Tbal (percussion). The have played sold-out shows with bands including Devotchka, Elephant Revival, Rising Appalachia, The Oh Hellos, Blondie, and Greensky Bluegrass. They’ve played renounded festivals like High Sierra Music Festival, Oregon Country Fair, Arise Music Festival and more. Recently in 2017 Gipsy Moon released 'Songs of Olde vol. 1". Songs of Olde’ is an album of old-world traditional songs ranging from Russian folk tunes, to American murder ballads, from Middle Eastern love songs, to irish Instrumentals. This album takes a tour through the ancient songs of the past and relives them in mondern times. Sticks and Stones, Gipsy Moon previous full-length release was produced by Tim Carbone of Railroad Earth and has garnered attention of from people all around their native Colorado.
