Joel Willson is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Southern Louisiana. He is obsessed with capturing the music within the music - moments that shape who we are and change us. After studying classical and jazz violin at LSU, he began promoting live art events and collaborating with bands like Minos the Saint, Ben Bell and other local songwriters. His music is a reflection of the cultural melting pot that is Southern Louisiana. Much like a great gumbo, his sound is a mixture of folk, classical training, roots and experimental music. It could be described as Bob Dylan meets Radiohead or ethereal folk.
