Stamen & Pistil formed in the fall of 2016 at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. It consists of four members - Lily Pollack; keys and vocals, Travis Villatoro; Drums, Mark Karle; guitar and vocals, and Harrison Cates; Bass. Their music spans many styles and genres, incorporating catchy melodies with sparkling, complex textures. Whimsical lyrics weave stories of love, loss and the future - all filled with a sincere innocence. Finding time to practice between class and homework, the band made it a priority to dedicate themselves to the completion of this album. They first performed in their school's main campus dining hall and received great accolades, leading to more live performances. Although we have all gone our separate ways now in the adult world after graduation (except Harrison, he's got one more year), we will always remember our time together through the creation of this wholesome piece of work. We will forever be "Nashville's loudest Baby Bottle Pop Band."

Our self-titled album was mixed by both Harrison Cates and Allan Fine, and mastered by Allan Fine.
