-Metal Hammer (UK) This month's global metal discovery is the mighty Cultura Tres from Venezuela. -Doommantia (USA) Complex riffs with a substantial amount of dissonance [but also with] the enlightening magic of psychedelia, so every now and then one gets caught by some Hendrixian, trippy spacey bluesy groove emerging from the general oppressive sounds. -The Soda Shop (USA) Complete darkness rules the world of Cultura Tres. Think Puya, Mars Volta and Alice In Chains meeting up in a dark alley with machetes and maracas. I love this sh*t! -Spark (Czech) Revolutionary resistance runs through the entire record, and Cultura Tres has no trouble in enabling its listeners to share its pain and annoyance with global politics. This band obviously has no need for compromises. -MetroPolice (Venezuela): To those who gave up on heavy music: this band has the rare power to make even the most jaded listener enthusiastic again. -Burrn (Japan) The band's style of dark, gloomy riffs (…) is strong, tight, and as heavy as it unique. -Abyss (Czech) The strong emotional Latin American temperament woven into the tracks easily carries us into dark and often dead-end social alleys. It's a fact that I needed a bit more time to absorb the album, but I got even more into the music for that.
