Smooth Jazz Guitarist Andre Bennett Heals Wounds On "Rite Of Way" Reviewed by Alison Murphy Andre Bennett certainly knows how to chill; his velvety soft guitar playing caresses the ears like warm kisses in the moonlight. Don't think of "Rite Of Way" as simply a solitary experience; this is a CD that can, and should, be shared with a partner. And it doesn't have to be romantic, either. Bennett conjures different emotions on each track, and what you feel may not be the same as what others are experiencing. The light funk of "Funkwilde" gives this relatively subdued album an electric charge. Quite surprising, really, as you'd expect Bennett to stay on the same smooth road. Thankfully, he dosen't, providing listeners with a deeper overview of his creativity. The soulful humming and playful rhythms of "Down Size" can charm snakes into submission. "Alex Pls" captures the sunset beauty of summer nights as Bennett shows off some of his most incadescent guitar playing. You will feel a rush of wind while listening to this record, one that'll heal whatever it is that ails you. “So Relaxing…” “So Cool…” “So Grown-up…” “I’m so excited for you…” “Mature – I like it…” “My new “Chill Out” CD…” “My “Car Riding” CD…” “A star is born…” “A millionaire has arrived!!!” “YOU DA MAN!!” “So easy to listen to…” “Did you do this all by yourself?” “I put you up there with Kenny G…” “A cool picture” “Nice Hat…” “I absolutely love the CD…”
