简介
The 9th Volume of a collection of rock tunes by various artists from the 1960s to the 2010s that represent 50 years of rock & roll history and its evolving change. Some tunes were nationally charted hits while others were regional favorites. "Dance For Me Baby" by Rockin' Rick Ware is about what usually attracts men when they see omen dance from a perspective far enough away to determine how they move. Been a fact since Salome and her seven veils swept a king from his senses. "Dancing In The Moonlight" by Sammy Blue is a romantic rocker that will get one's toes to tapping. "Hot Georgia Night" by Tom Hill & The Midnight Suns is a guitar driven rocker about the lusty beginnings characteristic of most new relationships. You might get an "ear worm" from it's chorus lines. "In God We Trust" by the (Statesboro) Pigs is a tune about the lack of money and its reassuring logo. "Red, White & Blues" by Stonehenge is a politically charged tune about disillusion with the government, hence "blues" instead of "blue". "Such A Bad Feeling" is a tune about the emptiness and emotional pain one feels when a relationship ends and how hard it is to find another. Schmaltz does the song with a fast tempo however, that also represents the anxieties one has during this time. "Turned On" by the iconic cult band of psychedelia, The Night Shadows, is performed by their alter ego group "The Night Shadows Psychedelic Kazoo Band" that makes fun of the genre and its "hippie language. It is a rock parody of an acid trip with psychedelic influenced lyrics presented in a Roaring 20s, burlesque music genre complete with silly "henry" type sound effects. "Watch Out!" by Barrelhouse Bob Page is a rollicking piano driven tune that is a real hip shaker. One of those fun songs for all age groups. "Big Lollipop" by the late, great Queen of Diamonds, Diamond Lil, is a double entendre' tune about all the different chocolate bars and candies concerning her love interest. Performed live with her group as Diamond Lil & The Diamond Kings of Queens. "The Hot Dog Man" by Big Al Jano's Blues Mafia is another double entendre' tune about a guy in the supermarket that sells hot dogs to customers. It's up to your imagination what is really going on in this one.
