The Nightcrawlers groove strikes an affinity in your soul that is undeniable and often addictive! The Nightcrawlers are one of State College, PA's newest and fastest rising bands. The NC's style is not easily defined. Their original and fresh sound mesh the influences of each band members own personal style and flavour. Rock, jazz, funk, worldbeat, latin, rockabilly and alt-country/americana are combined with insightful lyrics creating a style that can only be described as "uniquely Nightcrawlers". The NC's continued mission in 2005 is to create great music to share with people and leave a positive mark in a world that sometimes seems spiraling out of control. A Nightcrawlers show is an upbeat, fun, audible experience and a chance to escape the everyday doldrums. The NC's groove gets the body movin! And you never know who will be on stage with them....they've got friends with harp, sax, trumpet, violin and rippin guitars. The original band formed in 2002. However, after several member changes, the line-up didn't became solid until late 2003. Since then, the NC's have exploded on to the scene, ripping up stages with their fresh brand of music and receiving regional critical acclaim. Dennis Fallon of the Centre Daily Times says, "The Nightcrawlers have become the new 'IT' band in State College". Jim Price of PA Musician Magazine says, "This was my first extended look at The Nightcrawlers' roster at full-strength, and I was blown away! Musicianship and this group's constant blending and shifting of styles were the highlights of this show". The NC's have been growing a fan base in State College playing at venues such as The Phyrst, Crowbar, Saloon, Darkhorse Tavern and the Equinox Cafe' on a regular rotation. The NC's have also played Central PA's Festival of the Arts, The Monsters of Roll Tour, Chuck's Farm, Penn State's THON, frat parties and other clubs such as Cafe' 210, The PA Roadhouse and Relax Lounge. The NC's will further expand in 2005 into the southcentral PA region and beyond. The NC's play an average 8-10 shows a month and sometimes more so there is always a chance to get an NC fix.
