Surprisingly refreshing – it’s about time! A down-to-earth eclectic set of all-original songs with something for everyone - featuring uniquely creative guitar and vocal work and roots in pop/rock/country/jazz/blues. Who, or what, is BAMB? A man, a dog, a loving wife, a cheap 8-track recorder, a drum machine, and a couple of guitars. Recorded at home in a small, old, rustic, noisy one-room summer-style cottage overlooking Ogushi Bay in Japan, this project was definitely not about perfection…obviously. But, the results are delightfully and charmingly pleasing. The original intent of this effort was simply “proof-of-concept” as a Christmas gift to a Mom and sister, but this collection continues to grow more and more fans as word spreads. To say that these songs were recorded under “less than ideal conditions” is like saying Mount Fuji is a “hill”, with soon-to-be-Master-Chef Chizuru banging pots and pans in the background and 19-year-old blind, deaf, but otherwise healthy dog Seiko clicking around on wooden floors and bumping into things. But the honesty, creativity, and love shine brilliantly through the music and you will enjoy this album!
