New Releases! Mark Bray is an entertainer reminiscent of the good-time party of Garth Brooks’ mixed with influences of current country, folk music and rock and roll. His first 5-song digital release entitled “The Gasoline Blues”, featuring the song “Y’Opec”, was released in May of 2011 followed a few months later by a second 5-track digital release “Meet Mark Bray” featuring the song “Liberty”. “Y’Opec”, described by one critic as “The joke song that isn’t a joke”, is a lighthearted commentary on gas prices that brings levity and irony to an otherwise serious issue. And “Liberty” is a patriotic tune that all of the net proceeds from its release on “Meet Mark Bray” will be donated to the A+ rated veterans charity “Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund”. Now, hot off the presses is Mark’s 12-song debut CD “American All Star”! From “Country Night” and “Someday” to hard driving “Smackdab” and “Let Me Know That You’re Mine!” these 12 tracks are strong. No B-side cuts here! There is even a killer 2-step dance cover of John Denver’s classic “Rocky Mountain High”! American Allstar was produced by David Simmons for David and Goliath Music and recorded at Secret Sound Studio in Baltimore Maryland with Grammy nominated producer, engineer and musician John Grant. In addition to Mark’s slick vocals and David’s direction, writing and performances, John Grant played keyboards, guitars, bass, and mandolin and sang background harmonies that give American Allstar it’s unique sound and feel. This album’s throwback style, combined with a modern, edgy country-rock feel, results in a great musical snapshot of current American culture.
