Twelve year old Christian artist Chloë Goss's first single, “A New Road,” tells the story of someone who encounters Jesus in an unexpected place one dark, lonely night and how He changes their life. The songwriter (Chloë’s dad, Michael) was at a crossroads in his life and said a prayer one night asking God for direction. That night he dreamed a vivid dream where he is walking down a broad road in the dark, barely able to see in front of him but able to tell that it is covered in footprints, as though the road is heavily traveled. He encounters a man who turns out to be Jesus, who points him toward a narrow path with few footprints but filled with light. As soon as he woke up, Michael took a minute to jot down the words to the song and then picked up his guitar and played it without hesitation. Since that day twelve years ago, the unreleased version of the song has touched a number of lives with its message. “A New Road” was professionally produced at OmniSound Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. The instrumental tracks were laid down by some of Nashville’s finest musicians, among them Joe Spivey on violin and Fred Eltringham on drums, who have played and recorded for a number of major artists. Moreover, Chloë’s vocal performance lends a special quality to the song which touches the hearts of her listeners and leaves many of them in disbelief that she is only twelve.
