Born and raised in New Jersey, Stephanie began traveling and singing Southern Gospel music with her parents at the age of 2. Throughout the years she has sang in various state, regional and national church conventions, participated in street ministries, festivals & fair events, coffee houses and has ministered in music to many churches. She has also served as a pastor's child, youth minister, Sunday school teacher and music director at her church. At the age of 23, while residing in Indiana, Stephanie and her husband met producer, Van Lawson. She then spent the next 9 years songwriting, learning 2 instruments and developing her own style of Christian music while releasing 2 independent solo projects, "Only My Lord" and "It's A Journey". As the founder for the group Stephanie Stewart & Considering Lillies, Stephanie travels with her husband Robert, who runs her sound equipment, keeps her schedule and drives their RV, and also travels with her daughter Aubrey who will sing 1-2 songs with Stephanie. Stephanie wrote or co-wrote most of the songs on the project as well as sang lead and all female background vocals, played mandolin, played guitar, co-produced, engineered and co-mixed the project "Jesus Knows". Stephanie's latest accomplishment is her ability to produce, co-engineer & co-mix songs. She has training and knowledge in Digital Performer and has plans to expand her knowledge to learn Pro Tools as well as continue her musicianship to include studio work for other Christian Artists. Stephanie's sole purpose is to see lost souls saved and to encourage and uplift other brothers and sisters in Christ. She shares her testimony, both on stage and through the songs that she writes, of how God has healed her from a crippling birth defect as a child and from depression as an adult. Stephanie has been endorsed by CMP, Christian Music Presenters. After auditioning and interviewing with CMP, Stephanie's ministry was found to be exceptional and favorable, both by industry professionals and by a group of pastors, to be recommended to share her ministry with churches. Besides sharing her ministry on stage, Stephanie is also a songwriter for Lamon Records & Moody Music Group. Stephanie has shared the stage with several southern gospel artists including Lulu Roman, John Lanier, The Jeff Treese Band, The Bowlings (now with The Mike Bowling Group) and The Whisnants. She also had the pleasure of participating on an all southern gospel cruise aboard The Carivial Cruise ship "Celebration" and also at the 2006 Southern Gospel Fan Fair Week. She is 33 and married with 1 daughter. She resides in Jamestown, Indiana.
