MioSotis a.k.a. MioSoty Songz is an award-winning American Latin singer, dancer, songwriter, actress, choreographer, television personality, producer, and model, born in Brooklyn, NY of Dominican and Puerto Rican decent. Her career began as a teenager, singing merengue for two years with popular Dominican singer Wilfrido Vargas and then five years with the internationally well-known group, The New York Band. She branched off as a solo Artist salsa singer in 1996 during the resurgence of the genre and other forms of Latin music. As a member of the younger generation of Latin music artists, she is best known for her innate ability to perform an eclectic array of music genres, in various languages, in a unique, fun, powerful, energetic, and sexy singing style that she truly knows how to deliver.
