简介
"Spitta HD is a promising young talent. He’s the kind of rapper that you may think is “just ok” at first, but after a few listens, you realize he’s going to grow on you. He’s completely aware of what lane he puts his talent in, and that’s what makes him good. Whenever an artist is aware of who they are, and what they have to offer, it makes them a tad better than most. Judging by the title of this album, I think Spitta HD is pretty sure of who he is. And it definitely shows. I don’t know how many young rappers I like. I know the number is very few. However, I can say that I rock with Spitta. There is something about him that reminds me of the kind of rap I grew up with. Relatable, lyrical, and slightly complex. Spitta HD has a great flow to this project, and is consistent throughout. “For The Love” gives us the true opening to the project. It’s an appropriate track, and showcases Spitta HD well lyrically. It’s a little downtrodden from the beat, I would have liked something a little more flashy. When “Major Expectations” starts, I rock my head to the side almost every time. I love this song. It shows Spitta HD’s ability to tell a story (his greatest strength in my opinion), and still make the song enjoyable. It’s a haunting track, but is something that I would like to see more of in Spitta HD’s career. Moving right along, with “Missing You Already”. It’s a great song. Definitely the most commercial out the bunch. If it featured Trey Songz and a signed rapper with more “fame”, this song would be a hit. It kind of makes me upset, because this happens EVERYDAY. Unsigned artists write great songs, only for them to catch dust because they are unsigned. Now, if a popular artist came and did the same exact song with the same lyrics, it would be a hit. Play both on the radio back to back, and whichever was the Drake & Chris Brown version would win. It sucks. All in all, it’s great stuff. The last few songs on the album are all great. “Conversations With Myself” is another song that represents Spitta HD’s skill well. Spitta HD has a while to go before he’s in the spotlight, but he’s already shining, and that’s what counts. The important thing that Spitta HD could do is stay true to himself. He revealed such a deep side of him here, that his fans (including me) are comfortable with. For him to stray form that would alienate some people I’m sure (Lupe anyone?) As long as he stays along this line, he should be fine. This was a great project to listen to and I look forward to the next." - RapRise review
