简介
Steve has been writing and performing in the Philadelphia area since the early 70's. His songs are a rootsy mix of folk, country and blues styles, Americana to the core. Intensely personal, he writes of everyday life and love, about family, friends and the search for meaning. As a performer, Steve has an easy going, laid back manner that puts the listener at ease, and lends his performance the atmosphere of an evening around the kitchen table. Armed with a collection of old and new material, Steve recorded his debut solo album, "Time Passes", on the Good Taste label. Released in May of 1997, it has been warmly received and critically acclaimed in the national music press. With this album release, Steve resurfaced after several years of performing very little. Beginning once again to share his music live, he has quickly become a fixture on the local scene. With a busy schedule in various Philadelphia area venues, New York, Nashville and points in between, and ever-increasing airplay, he is becoming a regional and national presence on the singer/songwriter scene. His second album, "Road Games", recorded with his friends from the band Thompson Station, it is a playful romp through some more of Steve's rootsy American music. He is performing more and more with the band, although he continues to play solo dates.
