Since its formation in 2001, Shaded Enmity has released 2 full length albums and one EP with another full length on the way. The band spent several years playing local shows in Seattle's metal underground and participating in the Northwest Death fest and Seattle Metal Fest. Shaded Enmity took a short break in 2005 after the loss of original drummer Jer Keller, and the members joined forces with the black metal band Inquinok, playing shows with bands like Mayhem, Cannibal Corpse, Cattle Decapitation, Nachtmystium, Enslaved, Incantation, Wolves in the Throne Room, Withered, Cephalic Carnage, Drawn and Quartered, In Memoriam, Skeleton Witch, Wolven Ancestry, Inquisition, and Book of Black Earth. In 2008 Joe Nurre decided to reform Shaded Enmity and began writing the album "Like Prayers on Deaf Ears" which would be the band’s first album featuring drummer Simon Dorfman, who brought new life to the band. Shortly before "Like Prayers" was released, Inquinok disbanded and the decision was made to continue full force with Shaded Enmity. In 2009 Shaded Enmity debuted their new lineup, opening up for Ensiferum and Black Guard at Studio 7 in Seattle. In early 2010 the band decided to hit the studio again to record their follow up to "Like Prayers on Deaf Ears". The album set to be titled "Hijo Perdido" was then recorded in May 2010 at 2 Sticks Audio in Seattle with producer Don Gunn. Don also recorded the "Like Prayers" album and the band acquired his services for "Hijo Perdido". Now with a new album on the way, Shaded Enmity seeks to expand its fan base in and around the country and overseas with even catchier songs and heavier choruses; Shaded Enmity is ready to show that they are here to stay.
