Kurtis is a small town guy who's always known he wanted to make music. His journey hasn't been typical, but who's has? He's been singing since he was a child and has never taken a break. After working for years as a professional in live performance, Kurtis knew he wanted to write & record. That's when he moved to Los Angeles with not much more than his keyboard in tow. Starting out in Manhattan Beach in a one-room apartment and the sound of the waves crashing, he didn't write a single song. But he kept up his live performing, singing at various LA venues. As time passed, he became more & more focused and found the perfect storm when he met Kyle Puccia - another Los Angeles singer/songwriter. They began working on Kurtis' first album. After recording two cover songs and an original from another LA songwriter, they realized they should start writing together. I'll Breathe Later is one of those songs. The most important goal in the songwriting process for Kurtis was to be truthful. Each song had to stem from some truth he had or was experiencing. The entire album is a personal journey through Kurtis' life and I'll Breathe Later is a good taste of what's to come on the upcoming album.
