On April 2, 1978, my son James was due to enter this world. Instead, a truck pulled up and unloaded one thousand vinyl records of my first recording, "Billy B Sings About Trees". James arrived two days later. So now, 23 years later, on my eighth collection of original songs, James has co-written and orchestrated most of these songs. He also mixed multiple tracks of music, many of which he performed, and he mastered the final collection. Creating together has been a very rewarding and easy going experience. When Project Learning Tree ( PLT ) approached me to work on integrating music and dance into their energy education initiative, this presented a great opportunity to collaborate with James and PLT on a very worthwhile and creative endeavor; educating kids about the role energy plays in all our lives. For years I have performed at PLT gatherings, and have developed many friendships and partnerships in educating kids about the environment. I want to thank PLT and it's network of educators worldwide who work hard everyday in helping students learn about our environment. I want to thank Wendy Weidemann, Wade Matthews, and Paul Seydewitz for their valuable musical contributions. And finally, I want to thank the thousand of teachers and kids who have shared live performances with me and helped me develop a style that both educates and entertains.
