简介
Being his sixth CD, Porch Music carries with it quite a tasteful variety. Dale Brown’s guitar style sounds at times like bluesy bits of Eric Clapton unplugged, accompanied by an electric bass. Then, you might hear some rather traditional upbeat banjo on some tunes, followed by some guitar licks that have a hint of a Spanish Latin sound. His lyrics are often historical, as in the case of Rosario which might have been plucked from the journal of Christopher Columbus sailing to America. Fairweather Friends speaks to all of us when times are difficult and friends are few and far between. He has learned like other song writers that music with or without lyrics can have a soothing and healing effect for those who are going through the valley. Sometimes a cheerful jab at life is what is needed. “Not bad for a white boy”, as he might say. He got his first guitar when he was seven years old. Now forty years later he looks at music as he does painting on a canvas. It is art, and his goal is to paint you a picture. Take a tour of his home studio online. You might catch a glimpse of his life aboard his sailboat on the coast of Alaska as well as the tropical mountains of Haiti. Life is an adventure, even when we are going home.
