There's a consistent Southern vibe and some competent verbal flexing on the 18 cuts that make up Good Side, Bad Side, but Crucial Conflict have neither the staying power nor the brains to make it more than another fleeting gust of wind in the hip-hop air. The muscle that gives them their power -- again, their mile-a-minute rap style that swings between sing-songy R&B and gangsta toughness -- has been done before; there's no denying the beef that the Bone boys have with the Crucial crew. One okay track: "Scummy."
