简介
Brian was born in 1967 and raised in Southern Minnesota where he grew up with music. Grandma Frisbie belonged to a very musical family, with various members all playing guitar, piano, fiddle, pedal steel guitar and accordion. In addition, everyone sang. They were distant relatives of the famous Mother Maybelle Carter family and were blessed with musical talent. This early influence prompted his lifelong enjoyment of traditional country music. Brian started singing during his early teen years. He would sign along with the music so loudly the neighbors across the highway could hear him while he was cutting the lawn. Several people told him he should record an album while he was still in high school. In the early 90s, he remembers driving around rural Iowa to and from the bars, singing three part harmony Statler Brothers songs with his friends Mike and Curt. The radio stations would sign off at midnight, so the boys made their own music. He would occasionally sing a song or two with bands at local bars, but never belonged to a band himself. In the mid 90’s, he took a chance and drove to Nashville for a talent contest. At the end, a record producer asked him if he could get up on stage and sing 40 songs if he asked him to, and thinking he didn’t know that many songs, he foolishly answered ‘no’. On the drive home, he found himself singing along to every song on the radio, and realized too late that he knew many more than 40. He was invited back for the final round, but wasn’t able to go due to just starting a new job. He then put music on the back burner when he became a single dad and found that caring and providing for his son were his top priority. More than twenty years later, Brian decided to chase after his dream once again and record his first album. Brian holds an AAS in farm management and currently is a semi truck owner/operator. His work history includes farming, welding/fabricating, residential and commercial construction, landscaping, truck driving (asphalt, propane) and jack of all trades. He is incorporated as Frisbie Enterprises. He currently resides in Michigan in the small town of Emmett, population 269, with his wife, Lisa, and 3 dogs.
