Songs for Strings & Solo Piano contains original compositions by Lisa Roseanne Bartholomew in her debut album and features performances by various artists. Mivos Quartet (comprised of Lauren Cauley & Hannah Hurwitz on violins, Victor Lowrie on viola and Mariel Roberts on cello) performed "Black Sapphire" in June 2016 at the Creative Musicians Retreat in Dublin, New Hampshire. "Aurora" and "The Waiting Room" features pianist, Beilin Han and was recorded in June 2017 at Pianoforte studio in Chicago. "A Bittersweet" featuring Michael Beert on cello, Rachel Handlin on violin/viola and Mary Ley on guitar was recorded in March 2016 at Aireloom Studio in Mount Morris, Illinois.
