Guitarist, arranger and composer Theron "Terry" Shaw consistently excels in creating music using his unique method of blending the mastery of jazz improvisation with the rhythmic elements of his native calypso.

With credits that include performances with some of the leading artistes of the Caribbean such as Barbadians Aturo Tappin and Nicholas Branker, and Cubans Bobby Carcasses and Ernan Lopez Nussa, Theron has also honed his skills at home and throughout the Caribbean with local icons Michael "Toby" Tobas, Clive Zander, David Rudder, The Mighty Sparrow, The Trinidad Theatre Workshop, and the late Andre Tanker.

His debut release The Sojourn is dedicated to the memory of departed family members, and features original compositions that examine and redefine the boundaries and possibilities of his calypso influences, along with reinterpretations of classics by David Rudder and The Lord Shorty.
