Colorado’s ill-Mannered spawned in May of 2011. Its concept was simple in design; deliver high-energy, danceable music, while also maintaining a level of musicality that is not commonly seen in electronic music. BIG BEATS, BIG BASS, Song structure and IMPACT are what this band does best. ill-Mannered is a trio of 2 producers and one nasty drummer that do not tread lightly in the studio or on stage. Their truly versatile sound incorporates elements of hip-hop, dub, funk and rock into a roaring electronic soundscape. ill-Mannered’s Debut EP was released in Spring of 2011. The music is available for free and is being downloaded by the masses. over 3000 people downloaded their music in the first 48 hours of them releasing it. The band had no fans, had played no shows and hardly even had a name. The music stands for itself. Every day more and more people are hearing about ill-Mannered and tuning in for the long haul. Since then, ill-Mannered has shared bills with Shpongle, Talib Kweli, Nosaj Thing, Break Science, Eliot Lipp, Signal Path, etc. Not too shabby for the first 6 months. Philly’s Tyler Crawford Unland can usually be found buried between a sleazy drum groove, an over-driven synth and a pot of the strongest coffee on earth. Working around the clock, it is Ty’s obsession with each particular element that shape and define what ill-Mannered is in its essence. From Berkley College Of Music to countless sessions with grammy award winning engineers, producers and musicians, this whippersnapper’s turning more tricks than pandora’s box. Ty spends a lot of time in the studio producing, engineering and mixing for other artists as well. His knowledge, perseverance and sheer self sacrifice to his art have put him on a different playing field than your average bloke. Atlanta’s Matthew Stafford began his musical undertaking in the fifth grade. Matthew went on to study the recording arts and music business throughout college (CU Boulder, CU Denver). He was afforded the opportunity to study under synthesizer pioneer Bob Moog the year before Bob passed. Matthew has been billed on festivals such as Camp Bisco, Symbiosis, High Sierra and beyond. He has toured nationally for years and has released original music and remixes through STS9′s 1320 Records and Run Riot Records. Stafford also worked at SCI Fiedlity Records and Immersive Studios in Boulder, CO. Matthew is well versed in the music industry. He has been the artist, the promoter, the engineer, the manager, the composer and a long time supporter of our national electronic music scene. New York’s Eric Imbrosciano is the groove MACHINE. This kid bashes drums all day, every day. Eric is a HUGE part of the band’s inspiration -nasty, dirty, sexy grooves. His formal training and near 20 years drumming experience has made him an absolute monster. It doesn’t matter what genre you are playing – this kid wont skip a beat. Eric is a highly regarded player in the music community and ill-Mannered’s live performance is catapulted to unimaginable heights with him behind the kit.
