简介
First and foremost, thank you for listening and you can (please do) post feedback and support under my name on Facebook, and ReverbNation. The album, “This Year’s Bloom” and its contents should be available on both sights. Recorded in my “Studio” in our travel trailer with patience, perseverance, study, did I say patience, and direction from Eric Behling/Trinity Records, I’ve managed to record all vocals, guitar and bass tracks, do an initial mix and turn them over to Trinity Records for final mixing, mastering and CD production. “Friend of Mine-Terry’s Song” is the only song I’ve written. The rest are my own rendition of cover tunes with credit given to various favorite artists of mine. These songs represent some of my favorites along the forks in the road...most of which I’ve taken and are a celebration to the fact many of us are lucky enough to continue “keeping on”. I hope you will enjoy them and, if you will, please “like” and “fan” me on ReverbNation or FaceBook (and perhaps recommend or pass it along to family & friends). Learning whether or not you like them is all I ask. Enjoy, and, by all means, stay in tune with your gift of life. Songs: 1. “Follow Me” by John Denver. John Denver continues as a favorite musician since I first heard him and this is one of his numerous songs which holds special meaning for any partnership. 2. “Sundown” by Gordon Lightfoot has been an inspiration and source for some very enjoyable songs. 3. “Beg, Steal or Borrow” by Ray LaMontagne is fairly current and when I first heard this song and the lyrics, I knew I had to learn it because it resonates with my experience raising kids. 4. “Slip, Sliding, Away” by Paul Simon is a pretty tune reminding me of pieces of my life and pieces of each life listening. 5. “Friend of Mine-Terry’s Song” is a song I composed for a life-long friend who suffered with ALS and who made the transition in his prime; way too early in his life and in the lives of his family, friends and students. Terry “Top Cat” Crenshaw remains my Renaissance man and special source of very cool memories. 6. “In My Life” by The Beatles, song which speaks to me both in reflection and anticipation of the future. 7. “Let It Be” by The Beatles is just a darn pretty tune, and, sometimes, all we can and should do. 8. “Old Before Your Time” by Ray LaMontagne is another of his songs that speaks to me and one that contains a message for each of us. 9. “Hallelujah”, by Leonard Cohen is one of his many beautiful poem/stories that he set to music which has been recorded by many talents much greater than mine but, still, I have a desire to play a part in its’ continuance. 10. “For What It’s Worth” by Buffalo Springfield was just a very appropriate and cool tune describing our history and the anti-war gatherings and sentiment during the 60’s. 11. “Across The Universe” by The Beatles is a musical mantra, pretty, meaningful and fun to play. 12. “Lay Lady Lay” by Bob Dylan, a song which had always struck a chord with me and, like many of his songs, keeps coming back to me. 13. “One of These Days”, by Neil Young is just one of the messages I’d like to get across with this album...to all of you. 14. “Closing Time” by Leonard Cohen is a musical painting of pretty much what I remember “closing time” being during my party days and deserves to close out this musical trip... David performs all vocals and music. He lives in University Place, WA with his wife, Karen, and lead dog, Sean. David plays a Taylor 614-CE 6 string guitar, a Yamaha FG-411C 12 string guitar and Fender Precision Bass. Drums, percussion effects, final mixing and mastering were performed by Eric Behling at Trinity Records, Bremerton, WA. www.thetrinityrecords.com
