"It's hard to tell where they came from, who they are and what is it that they want, however it's easy to tell WHY they came about - for our enchantment, no doubt !" - such wrote Romanian top newspaper "Evenimentul Zilei" when Vita de Vie first took romanian stages by storm in 1996. There followed a string of achievements which led to VdV being one of the most recognizable bands, always commanding an army of devoted fans. Soon, 2 songs where to reach no. 1, "Ozosep" and "Abdullah", both to be found on the debut album "Rahova". With the release of "Fenomental" in 1999 history was soon to be made, as it became the first album to reach golden status in just 2 weeks, and "Basul si cu toba mare" climbed to no. 1 in the charts in a heartbeat. There followed the experimental "Exxtra", with evergreens such as "Sunetul mai tare" and "Liber", then the super coveted "Doi", with art single "Visare", "Varza", which broke barriers again, being the first romanian video to be shot entirely in Amsterdam, also "Totata", for which a number of cars and cameras were smashed during recording ! In 2004 a best of collection was released, alongside new single "Imi pasa", but it was only three years and 2 consecutive MTV awards later that the band released a new album, cleverly named "Egon". By 2010 and well established in all aspects, Vita de Vie welcomed the proposal to release a new album produced and marketed by giant media group Intact, and so along came "Fetish", deemed as the most innovative, daring and bold album ever to be released by Vita de Vie!
