The Franklins are a modern version of an old concept: a family singing group. Terry, Barbi, Tyler and Travis have been traveling together for many years. Their music is an eclectic blend: Contemporary, acoustic pop-rock CCM and guitar/ piano-driven “70’s sounding” music – all the way to acappella songs. Those wanting an “every-song-sounds-the-same” need not apply! Mom and Dad (Terry & Barbi Franklin) are singers, songwriters, authors and speakers that have ministered full-time for over 24 years as a duo. When Tyler and Travis were born they joined the team with their mom and dad. Both are college students, but continue to fulfill many concert engagements with their parents. Through Family Concert Ministries nation-wide, and travel in over 35 foreign countries, they have seen countless marriages and families touched with the hope and love of Jesus. Each of The Franklins contribute with vocals, and all play instruments: Terry plays keyboards, Barbi plays violin, Tyler plays guitar, and Travis plays hand percussion and piano. They have also become known for the acapella numbers they do in concert. The Franklins possess a burning desire to see God bring Revival and Awakening to the church… starting inside our homes… and spreading to the whole Family of God. They lead listeners into a worship experience that touches many hearts through their musical and family harmony. The Franklins have founded a mission’s organization called Heart for the World, Inc, which focuses on evangelism as well as bringing encouragement to marriages and families world-wide. Through marriage seminars, evangelism crusades, and concert ministries around the globe, The Franklins have seen many thousands of churches planted and lives changed by their message of hope and restoration. Through the years, they have worked with many well-known Christian leaders and artists such as Billy Graham, Jim Cymbala and The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, Focus on the Family, Coach Bill McCartney and Promise Keepers, Adrian Rogers, Jack Hayford, Steve & Annie Chapman, Bill & Gloria Gaither, David Jeremiah, Kay Arthur, Gary Smalley, Josh McDowell, Don Wildmon and The American Family Association, and many others. As songwriters, Terry & Barbi Franklin have had noteworthy success – artists across a wide range, from Glen Campbell to The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir have recorded their songs – and they have won Dove Awards and award nominations – but more important to them are the changed lives and healed marriages and families they have seen through the years as God has used them. The Franklins make their home in Nashville, Tennessee.
